JUST IN: Alabama in Prime Position to Secure Elite Five-Star 2026 Quarterback in Pivotal Recruiting Battle That Could Define the Program’s Future.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are intensifying their efforts to secure a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, a standout in the 2026 recruiting class. Curtis, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound talent from Nashville Christian School in Tennessee, is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback and the No. 4 overall player nationally in his class.

Curtis initially committed to the University of Georgia but reopened his recruitment in October 2024. In January 2025, he announced his top six schools: Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Auburn. He plans to make his final decision by summer 2025.

Alabama’s pursuit of Curtis is part of a broader strategy to maintain elite quarterback depth. The program recently welcomed five-star quarterback Keelon Russell from Duncanville, Texas, in the 2025 class. Russell, who enrolled in January 2025, has already begun contributing to recruitment efforts, encouraging top talents like five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys to join the Crimson Tide.

The addition of Curtis would further solidify Alabama’s quarterback roster, positioning the program for sustained success. As the recruitment process unfolds, the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff remains focused on building strong relationships and presenting a compelling case to Curtis, emphasizing Alabama’s tradition of excellence and player development.

Securing a commitment from a player of Curtis’s caliber could significantly influence Alabama’s future, reinforcing its status as a powerhouse in college football.
