SAD NEWS: Ohklahoma Sooners safety Bill Bowman Jr. is declaring for the 2025 NFL draft. Likely a first round pick

Billy Bowman Jr., the talented safety from Oklahoma, is indeed declaring for the 2025 NFL draft. However, it’s unlikely he’ll be a first-round pick. According to his draft profile, Bowman is projected to be a 4th-round pick, with an overall rank of 110 and a position rank of 23.

Bowman’s decision to enter the draft isn’t surprising, given his impressive college career. He’s a versatile defender who can play multiple positions in the secondary, including safety and nickel. His elite ball skills, anticipation, and return ability make him an attractive prospect for NFL teams.

The Oklahoma Sooners will certainly miss Bowman’s presence on the field, but his departure creates opportunities for other talented players to step up. As for Bowman, he’ll likely participate in the Senior Bowl, where he can showcase his skills to NFL scouts and coaches.
