In a significant boost to their 2025 roster, Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer announced today the signing of two key players: quarterback Keelon Russell and offensive lineman Micah DeBose.

Keelon Russell, a four-star dual-threat quarterback from Duncanville, Texas, had initially committed to SMU but switched to Alabama after an official visit to Tuscaloosa on May 31, 2024. Known for his exceptional athleticism, Russell boasts a 29-1 record over the past two years, with 3,483 passing yards and 38 touchdowns as a junior. He is now the highest-rated commitment in Alabama’s 2025 class. Russell expressed confidence and excitement about his future with Alabama, particularly appreciating the connection he developed with quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan.

Micah DeBose, a four-star offensive lineman, showcased his talents during practice sessions for the Under Armour All-America Game. Part of Alabama’s top-three 2025 recruiting class under head coach Kalen DeBoer, DeBose has impressed with his readiness to play at the collegiate level. His performance in drills highlighted his strong base, good anchor, and technical refinement, demonstrating his versatility to play both guard and tackle. DeBose’s skills and adaptability are expected to facilitate his early involvement on the field at Alabama.

These signings underscore Alabama’s commitment to strengthening its roster with top-tier talent as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
