In a significant boost to their 2025 recruiting class, South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer announced today the signing of two key players: wide receiver Mazeo Bennett and defensive end Dylan Stewart.
Mazeo Bennett
Mazeo Bennett, a four-star wide receiver from Greenville, South Carolina, committed to South Carolina after initially pledging to the Tennessee Volunteers. Standing at 5’11” and weighing 185 pounds, Bennett was a standout at Greenville Senior High School, recording 47 receptions for 857 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. His commitment adds depth to the Gamecocks’ receiving corps, and he is expected to make an immediate impact in the upcoming season.
Dylan Stewart
Dylan Stewart, a five-star defensive end from Washington, D.C., is considered one of the top prospects in the 2024 class. At 6’6″ and 248 pounds, Stewart was a dominant force at Friendship Collegiate Academy, recording 16 sacks as a junior. He was selected to play in the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game and chose South Carolina over offers from programs like Ohio State.
